Stocking fillers for older teenage boys....

... who would say they don't really want a stocking, but would be miffed if they didn't get one along with younger sibling.. looking for more interesting "stuff" than socks/boxers/smellies - tho they will feature! Will put in a lottery ticket.

He's sporty and things i can buy for that - but have done several times before so a bit boring

CDs/books/DVDs usually the things he gets from relatives if they ask what he wants.

Have used Hawkins Bazaar in the past, not seen anything new in there that I like or he hasn't already had.

Any thoughts please?

I would try something really grown up - how old is he? I know you said sport interested but is there anything else?

SpookilyDoodleydoohoohoooooo · 11/10/2010 21:37

Just thought - perhaps a voucher for a "fancy" haircut?

BlackandGold · 11/10/2010 21:38

I've used this website for things before now
www.iwantoneofthose.com/

17..... wouldn't appreciate a fancy hair do voucher, he goes to the barber, short all over. He plays rugby, squash, gym and works part-time so that's about all he has time for interest-wise (but loves reading, will prob get him some books)

I always put a wooden puzzle in dhs.

How about those hand grip things that you squeeze to tone lower arms.

Belt rolled up.

Leather bracelets/necklaces.

Keyring.

Shave stuff and smellies.

Sweat bands.

Sweets, choc coins, tangerine.

Mini males manicure kit.

Don't know how close to 18? Maybe something he and his dad can do together - if he likes those sports he might like real ale? Don't know how you feel about it though.

A pen drive for his PC/laptop. An Itunes gift card. A nice framed photo of him with best friend, or fave pet. If he really likes sport some of those knee length compression socks for running in, a subscription to his favourite sport magazine e.g. Runners World, some headphones for his I pod thingy, a personalised mug (one of those nice photo ones) a gift featuring his fave sports team e.g. pens, pencils etc. Most of the big teams have online shops now. A calendar featuring his fave sport or team. He might enjoy a book by someone like Lance Armstrong? Some male skin care such as a foaming face wash or scrub. Keyring. Some new squash balls. A voucher for a really good sports massage, or visit to physiotherapist. A nice bookmark. A decent water bottle for going to training/sports with. Some sports gels for an energy boost after training.
