Delias christmas... accept nothing else. It is the living end of all christmas cook books.

LillianGish · 11/10/2010 16:55

It's got to be Delia!

ant3nna · 11/10/2010 16:57

I have Delia's Happy Christmas and love it. Good pictures, clear instruction and it won't let you down. My family have already been flicking through and putting in requests Grin

Also Delia's Winter Collection. We have her Pears baked in Marsala wine for pudding every Christmas Eve. And the Chocolate Bread and Butter Pudding is out of this world (but immensely rich and calorific!) Her recipes are very reliable and consistently turn out well.

taffetacat · 12/10/2010 10:15

moraldisorder · 12/10/2010 13:32

taffetacat · 12/10/2010 13:48

There's a free delivery code somewhere, hold on a min

taffetacat · 12/10/2010 13:49

moraldisorder · 12/10/2010 13:49

DastardlyandSmugly · 12/10/2010 14:03

I have Delia (fab) and Nigella (not quite as fab but still pretty good).

taffetacat · 12/10/2010 14:06

Enjoy Grin

I adore her books. Have made loads from the Christmas book, both the food and the flowers sections. Her party ideas are especially excellent.

The Nigella one is my favourite. (I've even had to buy the same decorations and twinkly lights and what have you. Grin)

DastardlyandSmugly · 12/10/2010 14:20

Bucharest I have bought edible glitter purely because of Nigella Grin

Bucharest · 12/10/2010 14:59

For the chocolate Christmas cakey thingy?

I have a house full of Gisela Graham red and white tat decorations and am hanging my nose over the pots with the reindeer on on ebay!

Bucharest · 12/10/2010 15:03

If you go to book people, make sure you go via Quidco for your cashback! (or one of the others- Quidco is 6% IIRC) Have just succumbed to th Sarah Raven. At that price it would be churlish not to methinks! Grin

DastardlyandSmugly · 12/10/2010 15:08

Yes the cake thingy with the lovely glittery snow scene.

CDMforever · 12/10/2010 21:12

Nigella every time. The pictures are gorgeous, Nigella is gorgeous oh and the recipes are quite good too.
