Books, DVD, I have found a jelly mould with their names on, socks and pants, satstuma, some chocolate coins, crayons/pens and a colouring pad probably.

fishingfilly · 09/10/2010 09:02

Letterbox

ChaosTrulyReigns · 09/10/2010 18:51

No no - I know where Letterbox buy them from! Jellyvision - cheap and fast as you're cutting out the middleman!

ChaosTrulyReigns · 09/10/2010 18:54

HTH

tootiredtothink · 09/10/2010 18:56

Have put jellyvision on my list of favourites. Much cheaper delivery too Smile.

How do you get the jelly to come out actually looking like the mould? I tried one and it came out in one big blob! Blush

UniS · 09/10/2010 19:28

finger skateboard ( yellow moon catalogue, 3 for 3 quid or thereabouts).
Chocolate coins
Novelty toothbrush
novelty soap
bubble bath
bouncy ball or marbles
little toy car

that sort of thing. DS will be nearly 5.

other ideas for you( have nephew a little older)
lego are doing some tiny kits for a few quid in supermarkets.
A "character " drinks bottle might go down well.
Ben 10 pencils/ rubber/ ruler etc.
Kitkat or some other "grown up" sweetie treat .
Temporary tattoos
silly putty/ slime/ bulgy eyeballs squidy thing.

ChaosTrulyReigns · 09/10/2010 20:55

bytheMoonlight - need to brush it with teeny tiny bit of olive oil first!Foolproof.

I bought a load of these last year "Smith Family", "Jones Family" etc - they were a massive hit.

Smile
accessorizequeen · 09/10/2010 23:07

where do you buy those tattoos? DS1 would love some in his stocking! I was thinking lego minifigures for him too (he'll be 7). Saw some just now on JL website. Matchattax cards would go down well.

No idea what to get 4yo ds2 aside from DVD maybe (Dumbo?) He'd probably like some lip balm but he is a bit weird Grin

Any ideas for 2yo b/g dts? I don't think I really did stockings when the older dcs were that age.

tulpe · 10/10/2010 00:10

Light sabre DS stylus (they even light up in the dark - 2 for £6.49 on amazon)
books
Lego mini character (they come pre-packed so totally random choice)
tubes of Jelly beans (John Lewis)
hand transfers - eg a lions head which imprints around thumb and forefinger so you get to make the animal "talk" (Paperchase or Cox & Cox)
hats, gloves, scarves (again, John Lewis for preference)
traditional christmas lollipop - something that would not look out of place held by a munchkin in the Wizard of Oz.
DVD (Tesco always do bargainous dvds as do Amazon).

lilmissmummy · 10/10/2010 00:36

We do:-
Pyjamas and Slippers
Outfit for Christmas Day
A book
An Annual
Bubble Bath
A teddy
A DVD
Tube of sweets or chocolate
An Orange
Chocolate coins
An action figure of some sort (Barbie for dd and Transformers for ds)

then we usually bulk it up with some stationary, small toys, lego, novelty Christmas items and other random bits and pieces.

They generally get the same basic list every year.

LO (due Mon) will get a very similar list obviously without the sweets and toys... more for ds and dd benefit than LO's.

UniS · 10/10/2010 19:25

yellowmoon.co.uk or baker ross ( also on line) both do temp tattoos. I think Claires accessory shop do some girly ones.

accessorizequeen · 11/10/2010 13:27

thanks UniS, might do a yellow moon order if a catalogue appears.

RememberToPlaywiththeKids · 11/10/2010 19:53

plastic dog poo from the joke shop
whoopee cushion
tin mug
flashing toothbrush
magazine
funky socks
cheapo binoculars (£3 type ones)

LutyensLikesCake · 11/10/2010 20:37

Have a look at partypieces.co.uk They have loads of reasonably priced stocking fillers. I plan to do one big order from there, on top of the must-be-in-stocking type items.

The following MUST be there or the universe will implode Grin

Chocolate coins
Satsuma wrapped in foil
Sweetie bag
Bubbles
Scratchcard
Character knickers
Character vests
A cuddly toy peeking from the top

The above goes in all the stockings, including mine and dh's Grin
