I paid!
Finally. However I managed to send it before I said who I was. So if you get a payment from someone who has the initials LL then that is me.

Ok so now what do I wear. And is anyone coming from Richmond way that I could tag along with. I don't know anyone!!!

CristinaTheAstonishing · 28/10/2010 19:53

Serenity - how are you getting in from Richmond? I'll be coming from Surbiton.

No I did not come. Did not feel brave enough. You may be thinking of another serenity. I need to change my name too.
Cristina - no idea yet. Last train if I am too shitfaced. Taxi if there is enough of us.
Night bus if I get desperate.

FairyFay · 28/10/2010 20:08

I don't suppose anyone is coming from the Guildford area, and might want to travel together?

AnnieLoBOOseder · 28/10/2010 23:07

Fairy - Oblomov and I are coming in on the Alton/Basingstoke line to Waterloo, but that doesn't really go through Guildford. I get on at Brookwood/Woking, and she was a couple of stop later (Weybride? Walton-on-Thames?) IIRC.

You're welcome to join us if you want to, and can get over to that line. We might be early though as we need to get booked in at our hotel first.

Hey, did anyone else end up at the Kings Cross Travelodge in the end?

FairyFay · 28/10/2010 23:26

Thanks Annie, I'm still trying to pluck up courage to come - but if I do I might arrange to meet you at Waterloo and tag along with you, if that's ok

pickledbabe · 29/10/2010 10:30

Is everyone staying in hotels so they can stay till the end?

I can't afford to do that.

the last train to Sittingbourne is 11:39 from king's cross (if i get the tube to St Pancras)

I can't miss it.

pickledbabe · 29/10/2010 10:31

actually, i think i'm walking from king's cross to st pancras - i have no idea how far away it is, but i assume it's quite close....

Confused
zombishambles · 29/10/2010 10:40

Its on the same site pickled Grin

Oblomov · 29/10/2010 11:00

Think I am on all the threads now. The original. Dresscode. And this one.

Am starting to get excited.

If I spoke to you last year, then please will we have to start again. becasue i remember not a thing. tis a total blurr. and I can't even explain it as being drunk. Very odd.
So we start again. Make your indroductions again, please ladies. Sorry about that.

Gigi, post your dress link on the 'what to wear thread'.
Am looking forward to the fashion discussions.
But realistically we all know thta we have a fight on our hands to beat the red dress from last year. Isn't that now a MN classic Wink and at Asda £8, that just makes it even better.
Any takers to better it ?

Lets take this over to to Serenity's fashion thread:

pickledbabe - me and Maureenmlove shoot off to London Bridge for our last train at about 11.30.

And you can get a No.63 bus from Farringdon Road (30 seconds from the pub) which goes to Kings Cross so no need for tube.

I work a stone's through from the Hat and Tun so any other local advice needed (parking, buses etc), I'm yer girl!!

pickledbabe · 29/10/2010 12:13

zombi - figured it might be, once i'd posted! [hgrin]

Kbear - i'm following you, then! thanks [hgrin]

pickledbabe - one reason I'm staying at a hotel is to stay until the end (was sorry to leave last year), but also because it costs less than the taxi home last year! Oh, and I have something on in London on Sunday too (handy co-incidence!)

Kbear · 29/10/2010 13:30

Riven - No.63 - get off at junction of Clerkenwell Road/Farringdon Road. Cross at lights - you're there!

pickledbabe · 29/10/2010 15:34

Annie - I can't stay even if I wanted to - I've church in the morning.

pickledbabe · 29/10/2010 15:40

would I be better getting on the tube and off at chancery lane or farringdon street then?
I don't know why, but I thoguht from previous posts that it was a walk from King's Cross - I think I must have remembered that wrong. Confused

I can get a train ticket including travel card, then I don't need to worry, cos i think i can use that for the bus, too.

zombishambles · 29/10/2010 16:13

Farringdon better than Chancery Lane I think (if its where I think it is - must really check pre-party)

Kbear · 29/10/2010 17:21

Farringdon is nearest tube. About a five minute walk from there. Come out of tube station, turn right, (pub called "The Sir John Oldcastle" facing you), cross road there, turn right and walk up Farringdon Road, past small Tescos, past Post Office, turn left there (Clerkenwell Road), the first right and Hat and Tun is right there.

pickledbabe · 29/10/2010 17:24

right-ho. that's what I'll do.

maybe.

I know it's unlikely I'll get lsot - it's the getting back to St pancras on time at the end of the evening that worries me!

Kbear · 29/10/2010 17:25

Hail a cab.

Kbear · 29/10/2010 17:26

Can't come via London Bridge to Sittingbourne???
