This will be my first Christmas as a single parent and, as free time is in short supply, I need to be super-organised for all things Christmassy. Does anybody have a link to a good website that does one of those Christmas countdown things? You know the sort - 4 weeks to go: buy presents and alcohol, 3 weeks to go: write cards & drink alcohol, 2 weeks to go: buy more alcohol - that type of thing.

Or if anybody's got a spreadsheet (drool...) that they've built up over the years with similar stuff - could I possibly pinch that please?

I do a spread sheet,

names all down one side, all families are colour co-ordinated

across the top is, budget, amount spent, gift and where it is hidden (necessary some years!)

At the bottom (down the side) is wrapping paper and cards

I love it :o

brookeslay · 03/10/2010 20:16

Your welcome obviously it can be adapted.
I hope to be organised so I can enjoy fun things in December with no worries.

I also love lists at the moment i`m bookmarking interesting websites.

I purchased my Christmas notebook from Paperchase today......tis a ritual of mine :)

Basically it's a regular notebook but I make all my lists in one place and keep it in my handbag. Categories would include: decorations, gifts, cards (including stamps required etc), baking, food general list (eg book Internet shop slot, menu for Christmas week, order turkey, wine etc).

From that book I then make a note of specific dates in my regular diary as I find otherwise I have so many calendars on the go that I miss something.

tulpe / brooke - you are women after my own heart! Christmas notebook is a fab idea - I shall combine that with brooke's website lists and waft serenely into December with all my festive requirements duly ticked off.
