dd wants one from santa. big bro has got one and she watches him all the time. was just going to get her peppa pig game. ..

What are your opinions - will she get any enjoyment out of it? I know she's very young... we have a couple of long car journeys to do next year when ds will play his ds(?) for a lot of it...

or is there an alternative hand held game thing that would be more suitable for her? if so can you point me in the right direction?

tia

My three year old has one and has done since she was two and a half. Old one inherited from DSD aged 9. She broke it within days as she dropped it (hinge) but loves it. She plays it a couple of times a week, Peppa Pig and also drawing on the screen. I think if you get one with accidental damage cover, it would be OK, and a case that she can play games with without taking it out.

friend with twins has the vtech vsmile cyber pocket for her 2 with Dora/Princess etc games and they love it. My 2 had a shot recently and liked a lot.

dd has played Nintendogs (borrowed) on her big brother's ds and it was very cute!

My daughter had hers for 2 years. She is now 6 but we bought it for her and her older sister when she was 4 and her older sister was 6. We got one for them to share and they were very good at that. Her favourite gome was cooking mama even though we had quite a number of game on there. She had now in 2 years learnt quite a few games. Mainly New Super Mario Bros, ?Cooking mama 2, Dashing Diner, Gardening Mama, hannah Movie, babysitting mama, HSM3, Mario Dart, zoo keeper - but to name a few.

It helps that she had an older sister who taught her how to get round the games etc.
