How much to charge for stockings?

Dear all
I made personalised felt Christmas stockings last year for children of friends, and was thinking of making them to order this year. I've worked out that they take about £3 to make, and about 2 hours. What do you think I should charge? And where would be best to sell them? Ebay? Markets?

Any advice appreciated. :)

i reckon ebay or amazon might be good. i would say about a fiver each maybe

I'm not sure that £2 profit for 2 hours work makes it worth it. :(

i may have been undercutting a little then, obviously i havent seen your stockings, what size they are etc, you could easily sell them for more than that i expect

I don't think crafty sort of things ever make that much money for hours spent.

Look on Etsy and Notonthhighstreet and compare yours with those on sale...

For a really nice personalised one I'd pay £12-15.

oh my goodness that is extortionate

Thanks Pebble, that's kind of what I was thinking. They are traditional size and shape, red with white top and green applique lettering and blanket stitch. I hope they are nice!

Thanks for the advice for Etsy and Notonthehighstreet, there seems to be quite a range of styles and prices, but nothing quite what I'm doing. Ebay has a big range too, but mostly quite poor quality.

if it's personalised, you could have a base price, say £10-12 and then charge per letter for the personalised bit.
I agree some are extortionate!
