Looking for inspiration

I got a nurses outfit half price in Mothercare so will get her a doctors kit to go with that.

Also paints, chalk, paper etc to go with a lovely ELC we got from Freecycle.

I'm also thinking of getting her some Orchard games and marble run.

What are you buying?

A small bike with stablisers as dd1 is getting a new bike so we'll have to get the same for dd2 as otherwise she will sulk forever.

Her birthday is a couple of weeks before Christmas and I am planning to get her a Disney princess dress as she wants to be a princess when she grows up so thought she may as well start practising.

Strandedatsea-in Asda today they had Disney princess dresses 2 for £20 age 3-4 Smile

strandedatsea · 21/09/2010 19:24

Oooh thanks. Unfortunately we live in St Lucia Smile but could ask someone to buy them for me. We are going to Disney in October but they will probably be really expensive there.

My three year old is a boy but Happy land toys from ELC. Same as last year Grin

He adores them and they're very well-made and study

DD has been pestering me for a Hello Kitty teddy for ages so she's getting a big one from the Build the Bear shop. I went in there for the first time on Saturday and walked round like this Shock and Confused Some of those teddies have better wardrobes than I have.

MistsAndMellow · 21/09/2010 19:40

LOL I was like that too Grin

Luckily DD couldn't care less about the clothes and accessories. She just wants to save up and spend her pocket money on a new bear every few months and they're so pretty I don't blame her.

Lego - either Toy Story or Star Wars
Scooter
Watch with hands
Tool set
Moon dough

I'm sure I'll find lots of other things between now and then.

We have a 'train with buttons' which was from hamleys at our local designer outlet, but I noticed yesterday in tesco that they have a great remote control one too.

My 3yo DD will get fuzzy felt farm, and possibly a new tea set for all those endless games of mums and dads! Also we've just got a my first leapfrog leapad off ebay, hours of fun to be had with that.

Dd got a balance bike last year - I'd thoroughly recommend them to anyone looking for ideas. Like Muddleduck, it's the best purchase we've ever made!!

This year dd will be 3yrs 5months and we are looking to get her a scooter. We haven't decided which one to get yet though ...

She will also be getting (not all from us)
Leapster (possibly explorer, not decided yet ...)
Toy Story 3 dvd
Jessie doll
Baby scoot so cute (she saw this in toyrus and has fell in love with it - it looks awful)
Friction cars
Build-a-bear
Playmobile
Orchard games
Books (ideas welcome)
Paper/crayons/washable felt tips

Any Julia Donaldson books are a hit. Our favourite just now is Stick Man. I always get really sad at the end when Stick Lady Love and the stick children three are missing their stick dad. SadBlush It does end happily in case you were wondering. Grin

We've got zog for ds and we're going to get cave baby as he loves these types of books :)
Im going to need a bigger bookcase the ammount of books this boy has Grin

CappuccinoCarrie · 22/09/2010 14:14

If anyone's DC already has a balance bike, I can recommend a pedal bike. DD got one for her 3rd birthday and could confidently ride it by 3.3.

Books - there's a great one called vegetable glue that I want to get!

mylittlepeanut · 22/09/2010 14:18

Who's at the loo? is a great book for this age range.

The3Bears · 22/09/2010 17:48
