I've been half-heartedly planning for xmas all year, picking bits up, planning wht to spend on who & what to give to who. Just little things . . .

Last night I went into Xmas over-drive according to the text I've just recived telling me he's picked up my list of what to do & when from now until Xmas day instead of my Asda list!

I'm fairly sure I'm not the only one though!!!

Tippychoocks · 19/09/2010 14:05

Lists are your friends Smile Though I make them and lose them. But that's a perfect excuse to make another.

lucysmam · 19/09/2010 20:23

I was probably about 2 years behind my ex when it came to making lists - it used to drive me mad, but now I do it all the time.

My DP refuses to entertain doing anything for Christmas until December...
Good job I plan ahead a little, like saving some money, booking the santa visit at the nice toyshop near us (all booked by Xmas)...etc.
I love a list. Helps me feel organised.

cherrymonster · 20/09/2010 09:37

tippy- i have found a trick for not losing christmas related lists- type them up in word and save them.

Tippychoocks · 20/09/2010 09:40

cherry Grin butI like to tick them off!

I have painted the doors of the huge airing cupboard in our kitchen with blackboard paint and write in chalk now. Much tick satisfaction and I cannot lose my kitchenHmm.

The3Bears · 20/09/2010 10:26

I am always writing lists :)

always losing them aswell

lucysmam · 20/09/2010 11:10

ooh Tippy, that sounds like a fab idea! Although there's nowhere I could do that to in our entire house.

Plus my 3yo would think it was for her to draw on

It is for my DD too, it is a floor to ceiling cupboard for the boiler and has four massive doors. They were yellowing gloss, now blacked out and she writes on the bottom two and I write on the top two. We draw each other pictures too

SummerRain · 20/09/2010 11:34

I'm organising Christmas too, luckily dp totally agrees with the need to organise early so I'm not made to feel to crazy. There have been a few discussions at the school gates about Christmas already so I don't think I'm the only one either.

Tippy, if I ever have a house where I could do something like that I'm going to pinch your idea! I think it's great. It'd drive my dp nuts though because he'd not be able to move my "shite pile" as he calls it out of the way because it'd all be in black and white Grin

I'm glad I'm not the only one on a mission to organise xmas, maybe it's just a woman thing to be organised, none of the fellas I know seem to understand it
