ideas for presents for 8 year old ds

my ds will be 8 by xmas, however he has mild learning diffucuilties so age 8 lego etc he finds complex, his reading is also very poor so books aimed at 7+ are also hard for him aswell
he also has cp so cant manage to ride a bike/scooter
i am really struggling to think of what to get him for xmas
he alredy has wii and ds and we have a ps3 and laptop
he has asked for the lego police station but we have decided to get him this for his birthday..
he is starting to ask about dinosaurs etc so maybe this will develop his interests into dinsoaur figures etc..
he also loves dvds and has stacks and stacks but on the lookout for any he hasnt got

any other ideas

My ds (8) loves listening to story cds, so how about a basic cd player and some books on cd? There are loads of relatively inexpensive audiobooks on play.com - Horrid Henry, Roald Dahl.

I am toying with getting ds a cheapish digital camera this year.

he loves horrid henry and he has a cd player, however he has poor concentration and needs lots of visual stimulation :-(

You can get some fun looking remote control dinosaurs if you think he is becoming interested in them. ELC do a couple, I think. Just depends how fiddly the remotes are but if he can manage a ds, hopefully a remote will be ok too.

Schleich figures are great too. All sorts, animals, dinosaurs, etc.

Dvd - Night at the museum 1 and 2, The Spy Nextdoor, Toystory, Up, Cloudy with a chance of meatballs, Alvin and the Chipmunks 1 and 2.

thanks for the advice, had a look on elc and have my eye on some dinosaurs ,1 being a remote control!
also been looking at dinosaurs on ebay and come across scheilch may check ot out further.
as for dvds we have night at mueseum 1 & 2, cloudy with a chance,and both alvins....
was going to buy him homealone 3 and 4 , but mil had bought him them for his mday im thinking shrek 3 and possibly spy nextdoor, mybe a few others
