Any dedicated Christian forums?

Are there any sites that are more friendly towards Christians than MN where others are talking to each other?

I find this site so hostile and, despite trying to help, get dragged into petty arguments etc. I've had to pray and ask for guidance on whether or not I should be engaging on this site at all as it's so easy to be led to sin here.

It's a spiritual and emotional drain that I don't need so may only visit here from now on but wondered if there were any dedicated forums I'm not aware of?

Hope everyone is having a beautiful day 💜

What does Matthew 5:30 mean? | BibleRef.com

And if your right hand is causing you to sin, cut it off and throw it away from you; for it is better for you to lose one of the parts of your body, than for your whole body to go into hell. - What is the meaning of Matthew 5:30?

I'm with you on the difficulty of being a Christian on MN. It can be really unpleasant and belittling.
However, this board, although quiet at times, has many lovely, genuine Christian women on it.

I tried a couple of Christian fora on Facebook, but found them to have a very American bias and I ran away pretty quickly! So I'm useless on that account, but I'm always popping in here.

God bless you.

JustSmiling · 18/08/2026 10:55

@FuzzyPuffling I haven't had FB in so many years that I would have no idea how it works, anymore! What American bias put you off there, out of interest?

It's good to see you!

God bless you, too 💖

Hmmm, hard to describe...
There was a sort of over enthusiasm which felt performative, as well as some ideas expressed that I really couldn't get on board with. Bit Trumpist in places.

I'm a pretty quiet C of E person, originally Methodist. God is central to my life, church politics is not!

I'm not sure I've explained that at all well.

JustSmiling · 18/08/2026 11:12

@FuzzyPuffling no worries! Just helps me make a decision on whether or not FB is somewhere I need to consider but I don't like FB, anyway, so doesn't seem like I'm missing anything! I don't do politics at all! I steer very clear of us and them debates, divisive topics, politics etc. None of them serve me well, nor the individuals and they are certainly not Christ-centred so completely understand you!

Unfortunately, under different usernames, I've tried to help with logic and the responses have been bemusing, to say the least, and that's without mentioning Christianity.

It's a minefield!

I tend to stick to a couple of tried and tested chatty threads, the sort that carry on over a long time. I have no problems with saying I'm a Christian on them, although many contributors aren't, and have never been met with the nastiness seen elsewhere.

I also report to MNHQ if I think someone is being an anti- Christian meany!

I really hate the "UK is culturally Christian" trope. Not really- yes, major holidays are based around Christian festivals, but those festivals are no longer based around Christ. The Easter Bunny and flipping Santa get more column inches!

See, I'm having a rant now!

JustSmiling · 18/08/2026 11:34

I get what you mean about holidays not being about Christ, anymore! Fully agree. Think that was the intention, though, by phasing Him out and paganism in and putting it all under the same umbrella. Very sad but we honour Christ in our home, on these holidays, and kind of ignore whatever society is doing.

I think 'culturally Christian' refers to the values and ethics of society but even that is very anti-Christian, in the main.

When I think about these things, I remember that this has always been the same throughout history! Egypt, Sodom and Gomorrah, Babylon and even Judea were not friendly to Israelites and the Christians. We keep going, though, because 'all knees will bow!'

Romans 14:11 - The Law of Liberty

It is written: As surely as I live, says the Lord, every knee will bow before Me; every tongue will confess to God.

I know I am saved by His grace, and all the naysayers cannot shift me from that position, so I've stopped worrying about them!
Love Romans, so much to be thankful for.

But I do wish Christianity was a bit more "protected" on MN, as other faiths are.

Justmerach · 18/08/2026 13:30

I am a member of the Christian forums, it seems to be more of a US forum. Sometimes I have problems loading it and go there irregularly.
When I have posted I have had some good feedback to some questions.

I also time to time read on City data, it kind of surprised me at first, but it has settled down now what they was naming some of the posts. They are not a dedicated Christian but have a Christian section. They tend to give you insider opinions on things.

Absolutely. The good Samaritan was a man from Samaria, a region of Israel but not known for godliness, yet he was godly towards the injured on his way to Jerusalem. Jerusalem was know for religious scholars, the temple etc. So he was a godly man even though from a non religious part of Israel.

I do not know of any but it makes me reflect that we are living in hostile world and until we are called Home, or until Jesus returns, it is 'just the way it is'. To me, that is the reason we should, daily, take on the righteous armour of God and be prepared.

I find this site so hostile and, despite trying to help, get dragged into petty arguments etc.

I agree that it is very combatitive at times. I think maybe because some folk are just not peaceful, content people and get a 'buzz' from getting reactions? It is good to be aware that the enemy is gleeful when we allow our egos to get drawn into debates that are not edifying ... and even a helpful comment can create a 'debate' from others.

It's a spiritual and emotional drain

I agree, it can be. That is when it is best to shake the dust, walk away and give it to the Lord.

I agree with @FuzzyPuffling when she said But I do wish Christianity was a bit more "protected" on MN, as other faiths are. Unless there is a Christian Moderator, I don't think they always 'get it' when a bad actor post is reported from the 'For Christian Mumsnetters' board.

Hope everyone is having a beautiful day 💜

Thank you, and you too.

GentleSheep · 19/08/2026 11:28

My comment on Christian forums is that there are very many different views and theologies and this can be very confronting, more so than dealing with atheists, I find. You really need a good pastor you can go to and clear up anything you find unsettling or incomprehensible. As such I don't actively seek them out, but of course still come across different Christian viewpoints elsewhere.

Despite the increase in secularism in the UK, I still feel we are 'culturally Christian' - just go and spend time in a non-Christian country, it feels very, very different.

Thegreatestoftheseislove · 19/08/2026 11:48

Yes, our education system, our laws, the way we are governed, our judicial system - everything has a basis in Christianity. The way our Christian culture is being undermined is a whole new debate (as played out on the other boards! )

Having said that, I do not agree there is anything such thing as a 'cultural Christian'. One has either given one's life to the Lord, or not. There is a discrete difference between that and 'Christian culture'.

I completely agree with this.

Has anyone tried to join https://www.christianforums.com/
I tried and I eventually got an email saying that they don't think I am a human. I replied to that email but no response from them.

Hi all and good morning! NC from JustSmiling! Locked out of my account so had to create a new one! Thanks for the suggestions. I have blocked a lot of topics that seem to attract toxicity so hopefully will find this a more peaceful experience. I hope you all have a wonderful day. x

Thegreatestoftheseislove · 22/08/2026 09:40

Welcome @BlissfulDay , the poster previously known as @JustSmiling 😀

just as a curious and interested aside, I have previously seen exchanges on other boards insisting it is not possible to post as a different user name on an existing thread. 🙉🙈🙊😂.

BlissfulDay · 22/08/2026 09:46

@Thegreatestoftheseislove I think this is true for names using the same email so I had to use a new email!
