Christians Against Poverty - Experiences

Hi all,
Has anyone had any experience with CAP (the charity) ...This is a very overwhelming and demoralising path that I need to take, and I am very nervous about the initial contact.

I would like to use this service, over the others, as I am a very passionate (newish) Christian that would like to undo the years of what I believe is a financial generational curse.

I think I'm just looking for reassurance that they are a legitimate Christian charity?

CAP (UK): They are a genuine Christian organisation and you do not have to have a Christian faith to seek their assistance.

I haven't used them but I know people who have, and others who have worked with them. I think they are wonderful.

They are very legit. My mum and a close friend of mine have volunteered for them previously. They will help you without judging at all.

I am very good friends with a woman who works for them (she is an angel) and my senior pastor has started a job club recently. We have got very good feedback from his club (employability), things like boosting confidence and working on your CV over 8 weeks.
I hope you have a positive experience, many people who work and volunteer for CAP have lived experience, they have been in your shoes (or very similar). 💐
