Interesting article discussed on the radio this morning highlighting bible sales across the UK have recently risen by 120%. This is mainly a reflection of sales generated by genZ where there is a renewed interest in faith & spirituality.

This was mentioned at in church yesterday.
Lovely see a revival- and thanks to all the older people who have kept it going through the lean years!

Amen to that. How lovely!

I recently visited a church in central London that must’ve had over 1000 people for a 30 minute Thursday lunchtime talk!

It's very encouraging!

I’ve heard from some academics recently and there appear to be two strands in the increased interest in faith by gen Z. One is looking to a more conservative faith with rigid boundaries and clear answers. The other is to a more diffuse and open. I’m interested to find out more.

My DGD, who will be 15 soon, has asked for a Bible for her birthday. 😀

It’s not just GenZ. I’m seeing a lot of unchurched older people online showing interest in Christ and buying Bibles. Some are coming to faith for the first time, others are renewing a previous commitment which grew cold. God is moving 🙌🏻

This was discussed on More or Less today (R4), I didn't hear the end, but apparently it wasn't as straightforward as you might think.

Yes that was me 2 years ago, returning back to the faith!

That's lovely. I would never profess to be the perfect example of faith but for some reason I became interested in Jesus & God at age seven. My parents went to church in their later years although not as we as children were growing up. I insisted on sleeping with a bible under my pillow. I found a message I loved despite not understanding it.
To him who sits upon the throne the God whom we adore & too the lamb that once was slain be glory ever more.
I actually thought I was talking about a lamb & had no idea what slain meant but I said it every night 😂
