Advent devotions

What are people using for Advent devotions? I always try to spend a little more time in Advent reading the Bible and praying. I’ve got 2 things on the go this year.

“Hallelujah” which has an excerpt from Handel’s MessiaH to listen too then a short reflection. https://uk.10ofthose.com/product/9781837280865/hallelujah-paperback

The longer one is called “Rooted” where each day there is a Bible passage to copy out into the book and then some prayer points and a question.https://www.rooteddailyjournal.co

Do you have a favourite you could recommend to me for next year, or a particular advent tradition?

Love, love, love Handel’s Messiah.

My home church are doing Advent reflections, but as I am unable to join them I am sticking with my daily visit to the ‘global campfire’ that is Daily Audio Bible.

Also doing Hallelujah, which I’m loving. I didn’t really know Handel’s Messiah before but am finding it so uplifting.
Also doing The Adventure of Christmas with my children.

I used Christ Illuminated by Joy Margetts but I am going to be doing the Handel one next year, thanks so much for sharing this.

A bit late to the party but for next year maybe: Christopher Ash’s ‘Repeat the Sounding Joy’.
