Writing for Christ your blogs

Justmerach · 02/10/2025 10:58

Hi everyone, I wondered do any of you have a blog and write for your faith for witnessing? Me, I am a female when I opened mine it was just meant to be one page on my own testimony lol, but it has grown. I ended up doing some new shorter posts to make them more readable some subjects than just a longer testimony.

I ended up writing through my experience and things that I liked myself from my life and try and help others.

It is on hardly any on my experiences now. It is free and not supported by advertising. It is a free blog.

I thought I would ask so I could read others blogs on here. I come across a lot who are men and they can have a bit of a different tone in the writing like Kris Volloton his tone is different than mine and some have a business and I do not. I want to see blogs by others.

I don't have anything to update mine more now, I enjoyed writing all the posts. The Passion of Christ was a journey in its own as I never used to able to bear it, but life experiences I had to think of it and use it to help me get through.

They would be nice for me to see in the week your writing and check them all.

Blogger and wordpress are there to use as free blogs if you are interested in doing one and if you feel called to use any of your talents do so. I am still learning as we all are.

Let us share our personal blogs.

This is mine

I have never felt the desire to blog and do not look for blogs in my day to day life - apart from here I don't engage with social media. I am on FB with a very limited list of mainly Christian friends. 🫣

Justmerach · 02/10/2025 15:20

We all like different things and are better at some things than something else. Someone I have met on FB through a hospital she is a Christian and we encourage each other on there. She said the posts some have been helpful to her so that is good. She likes different things from me and is good at music so I try and encourage with her interests and talents to. Writing has been important for a lot of my life and it helps me process my thinking sometimes to, but that is personal writing and not for this blog.

It was fun to do, if anyone is thinking about this perhaps reading this may helpful about using our talents.

They are very easy to set up, even just for your own personal account of your faith.

I'm rather like this too. I've never found an interest in blogs, vlogs or most podcasts and have never been on Instagram. And came off X when Musk bought it.
Which makes me sound boring or disinterested....I don't think I'm either! My own faith journey is in my heart, which is enough for me.

Justmerach · 02/10/2025 21:37

Me and social media is not really as such-the blog is just posts and the comments are off.
My Youtube the comments are off and have always been. I decided to join TicTock to share my nephews testimony who is a teen and I thought a good age for it. I ended up putting a few posts with comments of mostly and it was taken well, all on the faith. I don't look for followers either, I don't want them.

I doubt I will use TicTock again as it is not really my sort of thing and I never search on there-but it was ok.

I never grew up with social media. I did want when I went to university at 21 to do religious studies and communications to do religious broadcasting of some such. I did later another course and the blog and it let me use my studies as well and marrying it altogether was a pleasure for me. There is another woman called Naomi Lawson Jacobs who had the same desire I did on a slightly different road as well

We all are different..some people are teahers etc...The Bible encourages us to share God's good work in our lives and the talents he gave us when we feel ready to do so if you can.

Their is no payment in this, it is just a joy to do.

I sing in the church worship band and, thinking about it, there are probably lots of You Tube vids of me singing. But they can stay there...I definitely don't do it for any other reason than Sunday morning joy!

Justmerach · 02/10/2025 21:55

What you do is great FuzzyPuffling. A friend of mine plays the piano for her church to and sometimes shares the videos of her playing her piano on Facebook and I always find it helpful when she shares.

I was thinking there is a creative writing section on here, but it is not Christan theme section. Perhaps if people do creative writing and do not have a blog and don't want one they could share their creative writing or writing here to which is not a post in this thread in this forum.

I have some from my 20s which I will share here, it could be about anything--

This is just one when things were bad with anorexia. I would write them in my book and these were not prayers. Life got better.

I wrote about water here which has my objective today. It is creative wriing as well so I thought I would share it here. Any thoughts on water for you and God?

This is an ode of love to God the Father in my life for the water that he has provided for me. I love to be around water.

To be around water has brought me much delight in my life. One of my fondest memories is going on a school trip to a seaside and sitting down at age 6 to 7 and eating a hamburger that my mother prepared which was cold and the seagulls were around me and I was in front of the most beautiful sea and it just calmed me and I was mesmerised by the beauty of the sea. It has always been like that way and they never fail to calm me. I discovered that I loved to be around waterfalls later in my life and I made a Youtube page mainly for this project of going to visit them in parks or in nature.

“And God called the dry land Earth: and the gathering of the waters he Seas: and God saw it was very good” (Genesis 1: 10).

God can bless us with water. “And I will make them and the places round about my hill a blessing; and I will cause the shower to come down in his season; there shall be showers of blessing” (Ezekiel 34:26).

In the Old Testament, Holy Water used to be used to conscreate ground to.
"And the priest shall take holy water in an earthen vessel; and of the dust that is in the floor of the tabernacle the priest shall take, and put it into the water" (Numbers 5:17).

The tradition was kept to the New Testament and water clansed us from sin (Romans 6:3-4).

Jesus became a living a living water in us which provides us spiritual cleansing through the Holy Spirit. which prepares you for eternal life (John 4:10).

Water to be blessed today to be made Holy for your purposes.which can be obtained usually from church's (John 7: 37-39))

I love to see water falling from Heaven to earth. It reminds me of God and his everlasting link to us the provider. I love the words of Psalm 104” He sendeth the springs into the valleys, which run among the hills. They give drink to every beast of the field: the wild asses quench their thirst. By them shall the fowls of the heaven have their habitation, which sing among the branches. He watereth the hills from his chambers: the earth is satisfied with the fruit of thy works. He causeth the grass to grow for the cattle, and herb for the service of man: that he may bring forth food out of the earth”

This shows our dependency on God to sustain and nurture us with water and food for the cattle and us. The words are beautiful. I like to watch the rain come down sometimes from heaven and see long shards of rain coming down from heaven above. Water is made in God’s chambers which is heavenly. To me it helps me to appreciate water now as when I was a child I never liked to drink plain water, my fondness for it is growing for it as an adult because of where it comes from, a heavenly source. We need water to sustain us. I will add this here I was having a headache once and collected a small amount of water rain as it was falling and drank a small amount and it suspended instantly the headache from me. My faith and God’s Holy Spirit allowed that to happen.

Water can be cleansing and purifying.-
“Then will I sprinkle clean water upon you, and ye shall be clean: from all your filthiness, and from all your idols, will I cleanse you.” (Ezekiel 36:25-27).

Let us remind ourselves that it was God who provided his people in the time of the Old Testament water for his people and sustain them in the wilderness years.

"Moses cried out to the Lord, and the Lord showed him a piece of wood. He threw it into the water, and the water became sweet" (Exodus 15: 22-27).

I like the imagery of waterfalls in (Psalm 42) they were not physical, but they were used to demonstrate how majestic and powerful God is and our call to depend on him. “Deep calls to deep at the roar of your waterfalls; all your breakers and your waves have gone over me. (Psalm 42)..

If you are felling blue then the buoyancy of (Isaiah 43) can lift you up –this is an ode to sonnet and of love of God “When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee:... Thus saith the Lord, which maketh a way in the sea, and a path in the mighty waters”

God will come through any challenge “ Though the waters thereof roar and be troubled, though the mountains shake with the swelling thereof. Selah. There is a river, the streams whereof shall make glad the city of God, the holy place of the tabernacles of the most High. God is in the midst of her; she shall not be moved: God shall help her, and that right early.(Psalm 46)

(Isaiah 41) speaks of the beauty of earth and like from a dry sponge it was filled with water. It was dry and then it became alive. Having overcome challenges in my life with God this has special meaning for me. “I will open rivers in high places, and fountains in the midst of the valleys: I will make the wilderness a pool of water, and the dry land springs of water.”
With sweet Solomon songs "many waters cannot quench love, neither can the floods drown it".(Song of Solomon 8:7)

In the Bible water appears changed in the New Earth, but I look forward to see what God provides for us I am sure it will be pleasing. Staying with now, I had what turned out to be beautiful time here on earth with the nature and the natural world and I cannot deny that. God said it was pleasing to himself-the earth.

I hope to see small waterfalls after the 2nd resurrection and gardens again of Paradise. It will still be there but different.. Thank you for what you gave me. It was sufficient for me and loved by me.

“And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.” (Revelation 21:1)

“And he shewed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb. In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.” (Revelation 22)

Till then

Can somebody explain me the rules.

I have linked to other peoples blogs and they are being hidden.

I have added a few here, none of these are mine and neither do I know these people. These are personal blogs on Christianity and not money making. Perhaps it is considered advertising?

This blog is about culture and art.

Just seen you have lots of deleted posts @Justmerach I hope you're ok.

I have Facebook and Instagram but mostly just read notifications. I do post on both occasionally, sometimes to give a Christian view but mostly just news to friends.

Justmerach · 02/11/2025 12:15

Thank you ChristmasStars. I posted to other Christian blogs which are just personal blogs on blogger and wordpress, but I don't think they like it so I will stop. I find them a way to pass time constructively for me.

I don't know these people at all and they look like just average Christians blogging and not a business.

Perhaps I can tell some instead and not link.

I found one called curiouschristian on blogspot and I like art and culture and have looked at it a bit and will return myself to look further.

I came across one called jesusspeaks on blogspot. Some posts look short and things that caught my eye which I will read.

I saw one called melwild to on wordpress.

I have noticed when I went to check the link that the Jesus(christ)speaks blog on blogspot it was impossible to be found. I searched on flowers and somehow it came up with it, but somehow not when you type their blog name into google.

I am just going to put the names here and not hyperlink them so you cut and paste and say that is it as I returned to correct the stray jesusspeaks blog which cannot be found.

I came across this website years ago about 11 years ago and liked one post, but didn’t look properly. I found it again today and I had a look and found a post helpful on bullying. So I thought that I would link to the website. It seems to be a collection of writers writing helpful posts on their faith. I haven’t gone through it too much, but I saw some helpful posts on there.

Bully Before — Bully After ~by Deborah Waldron Fry

I know most of us have probably been bullied in our lives and oh, what hurt and harm it can bring.
