What's yours, how did you discover it and how do you put it into practice?

What a lovely question! I don't know if I have one!!! What is yours?

Mine is the ability to show empathy and compassion to others, even when I am hurting very much myself.

Mine include Faith and Discernment. 🙏

You'll have one @FluffyWabbit, I wasn't entirely sure either until fairly recently. Going to a great church that isn't afraid to talk about these things and also praying about it helped a lot.

My main one is discernment too 🤗@Thegreatestoftheseislove. It's obviously very useful on a personal level, but I'm still trying to work out how to use it for the purpose of building up the body of Christ.

I think people sometimes confuse the gifts of the Spirit with the fruit of the Spirit (love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control etc.).

The main verse is found in Corinthians:

'Now to each one the manifestation of the Spirit is given for the common good. To one there is given through the Spirit a message of wisdom, to another a message of knowledge by means of the same Spirit,* *to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healing by that one Spirit, to another miraculous powers, to another prophecy, to another distinguishing between spirits, to another speaking in different kinds of tongues, and to still another the interpretation of tongues. All these are the work of one and the same Spirit, and he distributes them to each one, just as he determines.' (1 Corinthians 12:7-11).

God gave me at 17 the gift of prophecy for protection primarily and he has stood to his word. I am not working in this ministry today-but God has poured into when he has desired to. I did serve briefly in the ministry at 17. I would say today I am resting in this ministry but still able see its beauty day to day. It has been a loyal friend and comforter, and I am forever grateful and take it day to day with God's grace. I do not rely on them as the way to eternal end and remember Christ said I didn't know still to many who served God and know it is God's glory and not mine

Recently also I also discovered I may have the give of discernment given to me perhaps temporarily as well.

I think they all can at times amount to the same, and given to people for ministry and edify and exhort and console others and support us with us particular needs we will face in life and us persevere and get to the end with the Holy Spirit.

🙂 I think, especially being in the age we are, it is vital … not only for our own protection, but to put a spotlight on false preaching and teaching for the protection of those who are attracted to having their ears tickled, for example. If there is a ‘niggle in my knowery’ - go to the Word to check, and if what is being said, written, sung, broadcast does not align with the Bible, then the niggle is correct.

Faith is the first Gift given to me, the moment I was saved

Healing is mine, I believe I have Faith and lately received Discernment as well. I discovered my healing gift many years ago, I was at a church service where the sermon was on the gifts of the Holy Spirit and at the end of the service they said we should all pray to see if we could receive our gifts. I began praying and I heard a voice say 'healing'. To say I was taken by surprise is an understatement! I have never heard a voice or 'God speaking' before or since. I approached the minister at the time but got brushed off, which looking back was pretty awful considering the theme of the service.

A short time later I was at a prayer meeting with around 10 of us sitting in a circle. The person next to me said they had back pain and so we began to pray for them, as I was sitting there I felt my hands grow really hot and I had an unbearable urge to touch the person. I really resisted it! But I couldn't and when I touched them it was like all the energy went through me and out, into them I presume. They were healed.

I never said anything about it, I doubt they knew it came via me. I think of myself as a cable LOL. I've not used it physically since, I had a long absence from the faith until returning a few years ago, but I am aware now that 'healing' encompasses many things, right down to listening and giving comfort to those, even those online! Plus of course praying for healing. I also understand that is why I am a sensitive person, because I am able to understand others' pain.

What did the voice sound like? @GentleSheep.

My name was called during sleep and it sounded like a combination of two wonderful people in my life. The voice was authorititve but gentle and loving at the same time. My response was an immediate "Yes Lord?" and it turned out to be a good thing I woke up when I did.

Just a male voice, can't place it with anyone in particular. This was decades ago though so my memory of it isn't that clear now.

Does anyone have any experience with the gift of prophecy?

The gifts God are all great and an example of how great God is.

With the gifts itself I got mine at 17 the main one in my life and noone really tells us how to use them much and you don't go online looking for instructions.

Mine became very apparent this year at 52 when I had a spiritual attack, a mild one. The gift came with tape and arrows like a mini years war were launched I was called a junior in the role all the way back from around 1990 as a 17 year old. I remained faithful, but was not growing my spirit as such. I heard it live, the Holy Spirit one element is it they can act as a protector. Although I used these in the ministry for a few month serving...I went back scence whilst I suffered terribly with an eating disorder. I am doing better today. Today I have been confirmed and recieved and still have the same spirit as birth. As long as you worshipping with the right in a church of Christ, it doesn't where you go so much. For a number of years since being better I have been concentrating on my faith.

I think recently God may have given the gift of discernment as with the attack I could hear them the differences in the voices and know it was not from my body,. I am doing better with that today. The thing is if it was fleeting given to me for this, I don't how to use it properly.

I have never asked Father for spiritual gifts and would never.

I think it is great to see things healing coming back to the church. I am a non demontional and my church puts on once a month Healing and Wholeness services. I am a non demontional Christian, but attend an Anglican church today.

God wants only tells what he wants to know. My spirit doesn't want to overwhelm me they didn't tell me all the details of the case, but I could get the general geist. which was good. God has equipped me to cope as Jesus equips us all.

I don't ask for much in my life and for me I don't mind what anyone else asks for. They are free to do so. Me, I think God gives me what I need in my life and more in this area without asking. During the attack I would read Psalm 24 once a week to allow my spirit decide what to do. As although I feel I was fine with day one with the gift of prophecy, my spirit might not be so I let them decide. For me it is already beautiful what God has done. When the attack came, I was like things have always been so beautiful and was moresful. Perhaps God gave it to me as a working tool and being so a beautiful thing to look at as well, I do love it.
God has taken care of me this way. The gift since 2022 has been more active and was in 2014, otherwise it lays more dormant but I can see it.It is there for everyone I think but may be I am sensory moderate to severe so may be able to see it more.

Hi everyone, I mentioned that God gave me in my life the Gift of Prophecy mainly vision mainly for protection purposes in my life. For decades I didn't tell anyone for about 15 years and then the last few years again to try and support others. For me-there has been times when it has been more active in my life. It was verified at 17 and was beautiful when it came upon me. I could still see it so it was present and helping me, but it wasn't being used for visions or messages by God and my spirit for a period after I stopped going to the church at 17/18 . Then it was so in 2014 for a few months and then it paused to 2023 and then 2025. The latter part of my life it mainly involved me so they were private for my life. At 17 it was for the church purposes. Later among some I had-they were a couple that might help to support others along with me. This gift in most church's today it is not used much in visions as well, like as a non demontional the church I attend is an Anglican local church and I have been confirmed and received there, also baptised as Catholic at 8. The accounts I write about where at church and I saw a showers of Blessings go over someone's head and told the minister and they said they would have a child, a gift by God. They told me it showers of Blessings of Blessings that I saw. I always saw nice things like sacrament water being blessed by the invisible world.

They don't do this so much today and my rector at church likely has all these gifts and more, but I have shared with her some I have had to as I thought they cannot possibly me wanting with me. Also, I had some dreams earlier in my life that was related to the church. I wanted to show you what it can do with it to and try and pick those that can only help others. I have shared personal ones elsewhere as it was suitable for that forum only and not the whole public.

All these will cease they say when the perfect ones comes which is Jesus himself, who I have felt was always behind me at 17 and my biggest supporter in life. This is what some of us you have this anointing can do to help others.

This is my take on the Rapture and trying to help them to use to support the church. I mentioned about the showers of Blessings in my own story.

I have read that the Believer prayer of authority is good along with the gift to.

I got cut of and I wanted to say at the end that I have been told by someone else who has the gift of discernment that the Authority of Believer pray is very good and they use at their services for unsettling evil and removing it from the church at the start of services.
