Please pray for my grandson.

My little 2 year old grandson is not well.

It is possible he swallowed some water beads on Saturday.

The beads were already prepared so not especially concerned about a blockage but he has not been right. Lots of screaming in pain. Sickness. Strange nappies.
He is currently on his way to A and E with my daughter.

I am trying to be bright and breezy when I talk to her but I am so scared. He is such a beautiful happy little boy. I don't know how we would survive if anything happened to him.

So sorry to hear this. Your grandson needs to be seen immediately. If he has ingested Orbeez they can swell up inside the digestive tract (several times original size) and cause a bowel obstruction - time is of the essence.

Thank you all for your kindness. We were sadly aware of the possible consequences. The good news is, he is home. We don't know for sure he did actually eat any beads, if he did it would have been on Saturday, it seems it's just a coincidence that he has been poorly since then. The Dr spoke to a consultant and they are satisfied he's just got an upset tummy. Obviously my daughter has a list of things to look out for but for now all is well.

I can't explain what a comfort it is to know other people are holding us in their thoughts.
