I thought it would be encouraging to share some favourite Christian books. Do you have one that has really helped you, or that you just really enjoyed?

I love Philip Yancey and his What's so Amazing about Grace challenged my thinking many years ago and has stayed with me.

I don't know that book, ChristmasStars but it sounds like one to look out for.

One that really resonated with me ( and was a huge relief after a "lecture" about hell being full of little demons with pitchforks) is "Love Wins" by Rob Bell.

I once wrote to Philip Yancey when I felt he hadn’t handled a particular subject very well (I’m thoroughly embarrassed now by my youthful audacity 🤦‍♀️).

I got a lovely, very humble and personal reply. Huge respect for the man.

A really great little book is
The Calvary Road” by Roy Hession.

This is one of the books that made the greatest impact on me as a young Christian. I would recommend every believer to read it…”
George Verwer (Operation Mobilisation)

I picked it up for £1 in Faith Mission bookshop on the recommendation of a local pastor.
Well worth a read, but take it slowly.

Oh yes I loved that. I heard him speak once and he was so kind of gently challenging.
