Any advice for a UK bible reading app - I usually use the NIV and reading Luke's gospel for advent but going away for a few days without room to take bible.
I looked at a couple but they said "in app purchases" and I wasn't sure what that meant.

I listen to a free podcast- Bible in a Year, by Fr Mike Schmitz. He’s just been through the Gospel of Luke - so all episodes would be available to you

I use the youversion one. It is free and you can get almost every translation available.

The bible app with Nicky humble is good.

@Geneticsbunny I've found the Youversion one - is it an audio version or simply one with text that you read yourself? Better check before I download it!

It is both. So you get access to every version of the bible you like, to read, except you have to download each one, and you can click on a passage or verse and it will read it out loud. It also have bible studies that you can do and you can link up with friends. I like the feature that leslts you highlight verses and add notes.

Tried to use Youversion but it wouldn't let me use my email address for some reason so have installed NIV instead and it seems to do what I want.

I wonder if you have already signed up in the past with your email? It's such a brilliant app I would recommend trying again.

It's David Suchet reading the NIV new testament on You version by the way.

Have you tried the Hallow app? Huge range of resources on that.

I have Daily Bible Verse which gives me a verse every day and a link to full chapter if I have more time.

I also have Psalm of the day as I find them so uplifting.

Both have reminders to nudge me to spend some time meditating.

Then I have NIV on my kindle and growth (home) group books which I'm working on.
