Hello - can anyone tell me if a high temperature and a few red spots by the mouth is likely to be impetigo? Would appreciate any advice.

Fever not usual except in severe cases. Do they look blistery? If not impetigo may be viral illness which brings some children out in odd sores or rashes. See GP if impetigo as needs treatment.

Thank you. In fact I did manage to speak to a Dr friend just now who said highly unlikely to be impetigo if feverish with just a few spots. Probably just a virus. Appreciate your help.
