does this mean he has got a chest infection? He is coughing a fair bit.

And also, when is a cough a cough, and when is it a chest infection?

Is he wheezing, can you see his ribs when he breathes in? That can be a sign of bronchiolitis.

How old is he?

He is three.

Not wheezing, in fact I have just encouraged him to give a really good cough and the rattle stopped - so I guess it was just in his windpipe.

Cheers for answering though, I was panicking about a trip to the doctors at the weekend.
