3 of mine and 2 of my sisters DC have had it and TBH they were all different. My poor nephew had them worse and his kept coming for about 3/4 days. So hopefully yesterday or today will be last day for your DD, bless her.

Calamine Cream (in a cream not lotion so stays on more easily and doesnt leave white blobs) soothed my DC, as did having a long bath with Bicarbonate of Soda in the water and ice lollies for the ones in their mouths. Hope she gets better soon.

When Ds had chicken pox, they started on his tummy and face and crept downwards, so I was relieved when they appeared on the soles of his feet becayse that was it, they had run out of places to appear!

DS did have it very badly though as it had it combined with scarlet fever

The bad news: it can be as long as a week before they stop getting new spots.

The good news: the first three days are the worst. And the new spots from now on will be smaller and smaller.

Bicarb baths very good, especially with cornflour and porridge also in the bath. You need to use about half a tub of bicarb at a time.

You can get a calamine cream specially for the nappy area which is very good, and you can give piriton to ease the itching a bit.

If she has spots in her eyes she ought to be seen by the GP in case they are ina location that could later affecther vision.

We used piriton last night which really soothed the itching. My ds slept a lot better than he had the night before.
