9 month old vomitting for over a week! Help please!

My 9 month old has been vomitting for nearly 10 days now and we are at our wits end so any help appreciated.....

He is only throwing up once or twice a day, though quite often during the night (which is very worrying).

The doctor (twice) has said its a bug and we should just keep feeding him as normal and it will eventually go but this seems to be curious advice as he is getting no better after all this time.

There is no pattern to the vomitting (ie not always after meals or even after specific foods) and can happen at any time.

But it always then puts him off eating or drinking for several hours and he's quite clearly not happy at any time. And he's never refused food ever before.

Any advice or similar experiences please share.

Is he weeing loads? If he's staying well hydrated and has spells of playing/being himself, I wouldn't worry (much). I think GP is right, you just have to monitor and X fingers it will pass over.

I know this is frowned upon but I would remove dairy from his diet for 1 or 2 days for the bug to get through his system. Keep food bland.

Dairy can irritate poorly tums and bums.

My YS was vomitting for over 3 months when he was 1 yr old and we were told to continue with his milk etc..... And I did whilst hollering for help from the specialists - and I now have a kid who is on a dairy free diet because we made the situation worse filling him with his beloved milk and beloved yopghurts.
