Having suffered badly from eczema as a baby, my DS (now 5) is now suffering again quite badly.

We saw Prof Harper at the Portland when he had his first flare-up (who was marvelous), but he has a 2-3 month waiting list, and I really don't want to leave it that long...

Can anyone recommend a really good London-based dermatologist?

Thanks in advance....

I was recommended Nerys Roberts, she too has a v long waiting list but I did get a call as if it is urgent and there is a cancellation the excellent secretary (at the Lister I think, or she was back then) will try to squeeze you in sooner. We didn't need her in the end - DD's problem turned out to be self-limiting - but our cousins are consultant paeds so they really knew who to recommend. She was also in Tatler doctors' guide which I can't seem to locate online now. At least worth a call to the secretary perhaps.

Good luck, I understand how miserable eczema can be for both of you.

Only just seen your messages - thanks. I will give Nerys Roberts secretary a call and see how I do.

Someone has just recommended Dr Rustin - I think he is head of dermatology at the Royal Free. Has anyone been to see him?
