Does anyone know anything about inverted nipples? Also is it normal for just one to be inverted? She is starting to feel quite self-conscious about it. I have told her it's nothing to worry about and it may pop out when she is older but having googled it doesnt look likely and one of the top search results is a breast cancer symptoms site eek! . Any advice or similar experience would be really appreciated. Thanks

I had one inverted nipple growing up and it didn't really pop out properly until I was an adult and I was aroused (sorry if that is a bit TMI in relation to your DD!). I have successfully breastfed and no one has ever mentioned cancer to me

i have one inverted nipple, didnt notice till i tried to brestfeed and a midwife pointed it out, breastfeeding was quite hard but other than that i tend to forget about it

Thank you for your advice ladies. I will relax about it and its good to know breastfeeding is possible. I have a 3rd nipple myself so I guess my daughter should feel thankful she has just the two, even if they dont match X
