I am a typical atopic - I have eczema, asthma and hayfever. I have breast fed all three of my dcs for a year (trying to do the best thing etc). They have all had quite bad eczema from 6 months until i stopped breast feeding them, when it miraculously cleared up within a few days of their last breast feed!

Whilst I am delighted their skin is fine, I just think this is really wierd! Does anyone else have experience like this, or can anyone shed light on what caused this?

Am mystified

Perhaps a dairy intolerance or some other food intolerance?

If you were eating the food then it would be passed to them in the breast milk.

I was advised to avoid dairy when breastfeeding as I was milk intolerant as a child (and also asthmatic/eczema).

DH is too so I pity my poor DS!
