DD with diarrhoea on/off since March - help

My DD is 14 months and up until March was fine but since a bad bout of gastro bug has had diarrhoea on/off. Been to Drs 7 times and each time differing or no advice.
Spent 4 weeks with no dairy still no improvement. We keep heading back to rice, banana and plain food but as soon as we approach a "normal" diet poo just runs out...

I am now on verge of losing sanity as poor little one screams with nappy rash, can't play with other kids and I am worried her diet is so restricted. Weight has not gone up for a while also.

Go back to your doctor and demand a second opinion or better still, ask to see a different doctor in the practice.

Take someone with you who isn't emotionally involved so that they can put your point forward.

You'r going to have to be firm and tell them it's not right.

That can't be normal and your DD should not have to suffer like that. I wouldn't put up with it as an adult so she shouldn't either.

Hope you find a solution soon.

My DS 1 year had diarrhoea for 3 weeks until i moved him to soy milk.. went straight away.. i have put it down to sudden dairy intolarence. I will slowly indroduce dairy again in a few weeks and see if it comes back.

I know how you feel.. it is worrying isn't it

Thanks this has cheered me up.... I am going back on Monday with a list to hand over to the Dr of whats going on and I want a referral asap. Would like to take a extra body along but all friends are at work or have small kids so can't come near DD. Going 4 some nappy off time in the garden now...
