Hi - have to take my DD (5) for an eye exam. Can anyone recommend a chain that is particularly good with children? She knows most of her letters but not all and isn't really into the idea that she might need glasses...

I take my dd to specsavers and I think they are great, my dd has had glasses since she was 3 but dd has to like the person doing the examination otherwise you will only have tears. Take her along to me the optition before her appointment and let her see all the different glasses that she can have.

FYI - if anyone still around - Tesco Optician. V slight shortsightedness. Barbie glasses will be ready in a few days. Hooray for character tie-ins! She can't wait to get them. How things change in their little minds...

Oh, and God Bless the NHS - all on the voucher!
