My dd is 2.9 years old, and has since Friday been doing very loose, smelly yellow poos. Sorry if tmi, but some of them have reminded me of picalilly and they are leaking out of her nappy. She is otherwise perfectly well, she says she isn't in any pain and is eating and drinking as normal.

My question is does anyone have any idea what could be causing this, and how long should I leave it before I think of taking her to the doctors?

I'm hoping it is just a stomach bug. She has a molar coming through, so could it be teething? I always thought it was a bit of an old wive's tale... My plan this week was to get her potty trained, but I can't see it happening now!

Poor you guys!

Don;t worry about potty training - that will save.

Do you have a walk in clinic or helath visitor you could ask?

Thanks mumblecrumble, I hadn't thought about hv, will try her, see what she thinks, I guess she can reassure me it's nothing or recommend I take dd to docs. Then I won't feel so silly if I do call docs (for an appointment sometime in the next century!).
