Chicken Pox and too much light / television

Hi All,

Trying to entertain my 3yr who has chicken pox.

My MIL says that both watching television and too much light is bad for children with chicken pox.

Has anyone ever heard this?

Because frankly trying to keep a fractious 3 year old (with spots that can't be scratched!) entertained without the aid of either television or the garden is pretty hard.

TIA for any opinions

Hmmm. I think that may be an old wives tail! (One that even my mum didn't come up with when mine had it!). What is it supposed to do to them?

TV and the garden are fine imo.

I am waiting for my 21 month old to get it as we have been with a few people over the last week that came out with it.

my 5.6 ds has it at the moment and dont know who's more stir crazy, me or him!!! It's costing me a fortune in bribes to get him to take the piriton to help with the itching .

Def never heard of light sensitivity with chickenpox.

agree with Lady - do whatever you have to to get through. Wine in the fridge, big box of choccies - for you not dc!!
