Formula fed. Last proper feed 11.30 am. Took 3oz 4.30, threw all of it up. Now vomiting yellow fluid / bile / retching so tummy obviously empty. Last wet nappy 4.30 as well.

Refusing all milk and dioralyte. Currently alert, wet mouth etc, but don't want to leave it until she is properly dehydrated.

Am thinking once toddler in bed 8ish if no fluid by then, or am I being alarmist?

wwyd?

TIA

have you tried giving a small amount of cooled boiled water?

4.30 pm this afternoon, so not very long ago.

fontanelle quite sunken, but currently reasonably alert and not fussy. Bit dozy periodically, tho when I would expect her to be, and getting more so

doc advised dioralyte rather than water, but aam going to try that as well

I agree, with a sunken fontanelle she needs to be checked over.

I hope she's OK.

I would call NHS direct or 24, they might be able to arrange an appointment with an emergency DR rather than taking a baby to A&E to wait for hours.

Hi all

We're all well now, thank you for your help.

Doc saw DD and was happy that as she was generally well, there was no need for any urgent action. She finally took 4oz of sugar water at midnight and then milk at 4am, and is now back to her usual smiley self, hurrah!
