Ds2 has had a temp since Sunday night. It was highest on Monday peaking at about 39.5 but he was in good spirits just a bit clingy. His temp was down to 38.5 yesterday and 37.7 this morning but now he's back up to 38.8. He's been in an ok mood just a bit more tired and cranky but still playing etc when he's awake. He hasn't had much of an appetite but he's still bf and he's feeding lots. Is this strange for a temp? With ds 1 he has a high temp for a day or two max but once it goes down that's it! Any thoughts or experiences?

get him seen

ds2 who is 2.5 had something similar. stopped eating sunday evening, not himself. up early hours monday morning with temp almost 40. got it down with calpol and nurofen, but whenever the drugs wore off the temp rose back up again

anyway, turns out he has a chest infection. 24 hrs on antibiotics and he is back to his usual self again

Thanks tiy. I was going to make a doc appt in the morning if he still had a temp. His only other symptom is a runny nose and some pretty squashy nappies but that could be down to a bm diet for the last 3 days!
