Toe nails

Not really health but how do you get to your little ones toe nails? My DD is 14 months and has such sensitive feet and toes that she goes positively bonkers if I try and even take a look. I'm a bit worried that they may be growing in a bit. Any tips?

Sandpit.

At about the same age ds1 wouldn't let us anywhere near any of his nails, so I used to take him to play in sandpits a couple of times a week. The abrasion of the sand kept his nails trimmed.

It was quite funny in winter, to see this little tot all bundled up in snowsuit and hat - and bare feet!

Pin child firmly under your left elbow. Grab foot firmly with left hand (firmly tickles less). Use clippers. (Reverse instructions if left-handed)

my dh used to do "silly walks" or grimaces while I clipped ds*s nails (finger and toes). we all had a good laugh
