2.5yr DS just got huge bump on head - what do I need to do?

He's jut come running in from garden with a huge lump on his forehead - cried for a bit but is now running around as if nothing happened. What do I need to do / look out for?

My understanding is that the forehead is a "good" place to get a bump; nice thick bone there. Otherwise what Pixie said.

Yes, that was my understanding, too. Side or back of head are worse places to get a bump

thanks all - he's had his dinner and a Freddo and is sitting watching Postman Pat - so all normal there! Tried the peas - naturally he wasn't having any of it!
