Food intolerences

Hi am asking for a friend. Her 3 year old daughter suffers badly with constipation and is on some meds from docs not sure what, but she goes to see them once a month. I was wondering if it could be a food intolerence? She is fine for a couple of weeks then has a real bad time of it and the poo is solid when it does eventually come out, then she is fine again and that is how the cycle goes! Any advice appreciated cheers x

Yes, it could be, the most common foods to cause this are dairy and/or wheat overload.
My ds when he was that age was so so bad with constipation, it went as soon as we removed dairy (and later he was found also sensitive to wheat). I couldn't believe the answer was that simple vs doctors giving you chemical stuff to clear bowels.
