5yrs Old - Itching.....

DD1 is 5yrs old, and has complained today that she has been itchy all over.... back of the neck, behind her ears, down her back, legs and arms.

Nothing noticable - 1 little spot on her front but doesnt look like a chicken pox spot. She had chicken pox very mildly when she was nearly 3yrs old.

anyone got any ideas as to what it could be? Could it be the start of another bout of chicken pox or could it be the start of something like excema?!

Just trying to prepare myself for what I might be met with in the morning when she wakes up!

Have you looked inbetween her fingers?

There's alot of things that can cause itching, have you changed the washing powder/soap etc?

I think you wouldn't get any itching before any spots appeared in chicken pox, and anyway she's had that. Change in washing powder, soap or shampoo? Hay fever can cause itchy skin too.

I didnt look between her fingers no.

I cant think of anything we have changed.

I did wonder if it was because she had her hair cut earlier, but she was scratching at her arms and legs and said she had been itchy all day at school.

oh lord.... it could be anything or nothing really couldnt it!

Yup, it could be anything. Scabies (not saying she has this) is normally in the creases of the skin (in between fingers, inside elbows etc). Eczema and a skin irritation can be anywhere.
