i think i know the answer to this one, but just wondered if it really is normal for toddlers to have SO MANY coughs and colds? I swear to god my dd (2.6) has one literally every other week of varying degrees. she goes to nursery 2 x a week, and i've also noticed she always gets one after taking her swimming - or this might just be a coincidence. so i guess i'm looking for 1)reassurance and 2) answers! any tips to reduce them - i already feed growing up milk with added vitamins plus extra vitamin drops from time to time
thanks!

My ds is the same age and goes to nursery 3 x a week. He too has a permenant cold/cough. It never gets really bad, it's just always lurking. I think it is just one of those kid things. They are going to pick them up. When he first started nursery he got a couple of bad colds but I think that was him building up his immunity and since then he has never been very very sick. My friend does not send her son to nursery and he seems to have less colds but when he does get one, he gets really ill with it. So I think its swings and roundabouts. God, that was a bit of a waffle, but you get the picture There's no getting away from those pesky germs when they are this age!

my 7 month old has had a cold every two weeks since she was born! she keeps cathing it off her older cousin

im told these little things make their immune systems stronger, adn is completely normal, it drives me mad, but it dosnt seem to bother her as much anymore so thats maybe a good thing x
