She had her first dose of medicine today and has to be off school for 48 hrs. She is supposed to have a swimming lesson today and ballet tomorrow. Can I take her?

You have to off school to when you have worms?? Really? Wow, did not know that. I learn new things about the English school system every day.

Can't see how she is going to transfer the eggs when swimming. People catch them when the infected person scratches their bum and does not wash thier hands and then touches someone else who then licks their own hand.

DH took her into school this morning after the doctor, and was told she had to be off for 48 hrs after her first dose of medication. I thought it a little bizarre too!

I would definitely skip swimming as she can pass them on, IMHO.

My dd has had worms, many many times and has never had to be off school.
