Hi my son is 2 and for a good while he has had an enlarged gland in his neck it doesn't bother him and goes up and down but is always noticeable. I had him to the GP and i have just been to the hospital for a check up she said she doesn't think it anything sinister but i was just wondered has anyone else experienced this

Yes both my children have/had these. I think at this age they are pretty much constantly fighting off something.

i was at the hospital yesterday with my DS age 6 with one of these...i would say his is also about the size of a malteser...the paed didnt seem concerned and said exactly the same to me, that she didnt think it was anything sinister

She said the fact that he is well in himself and has had the swollen gland for a long time are also positive signs

We have to go back in 6 weeks to make sure it isnt growing and she did blood tests too, just to make absolutely sure nothing else is going on

I mentioned my DS's to paed a while back and she said was normal.
Last night i noticed they were alot bigger then normal-prob malteser size!
This morning he's woke up with chicken pox so for us think it was sign..

My friends dd has had one since she was six months old, she is now 2.5 and no one is concerned about it. It has been checked out a few times
