Wobbly Teeth and their colour

My DS (aged 10) has a wobbly tooth (it's the first sort of double one at the top) and it appears to have developed a sort of pinkish tinge to it. The gum looks fine and nothing out of the ordinary has happened to it as far as we know.

Has anyone else ever noticed this happening with any of their DC's wobbly teeth and if so, do you know what causes it? I know there's no need to worry because it'll be gone soon anyway but I was just curious as to what causes it.
