Bath products for dry skin that work???

Hello.
Both DC's suffer with pretty dry skin - nothing dreadful, It runs in the family, so they haven't got off to a great start in that department. They aren't very good about letting me apply cream, so was wondering if anyone had found any good (preferably natural, but not necessarily if it works!) bath product to help ease dry skin???

Many thanks in advance.

Mmmm, where are all the dry skin experts when you need them? I am looking for a bath product of this kind too. Hope some expert advice comes soon.

I use Oilatum, it's a bit pricey but I stock up when Sainsburys' have a 1/3 off deal.

You can get it on prescription I believe.

For an entirely natural solution that really works, take some oatmeal (about 1-2 tablespoons), put it in the middle of a muslin square or flannel, tie into a little bag with an elastic band, and squeeze under the running tap. It will release oatmilk, which is what is in the Aveeno range of products for dry skin. Alternatively you could buy some Aveeno stuff but it is more expensive! HTH

My DS1 had oilatum on prescription until he was six. He never had severe problems and I think the oilatum (and reduced bathing) helped keep his skin from getting out of control. I had been paying for it before my GP said he would happily prescribe it.

I also buy it for myself. It's great, much better than E45 oil, which is cheaper.
