Ds's flat feet - do I take him to the doctor?

Ds age 11 has flat feet. I suppose I've been ignoring his strange way of walking, thinking he'll grow out of it. But it's getting worse. He runs in a really peculiar way, too, and he is generally appalling at any physical activity (although actually he can walk miles without complaining).

Do I take him to the doctor? I've searched threads and here and looked online, but can't find advice on what first steps (no pun intended!) to take to remedy the situation.

Any advice much appreciated.

I think I'd ask a GP for an opinion. Really it comes down to if you think it's a problem for him.

Take him to the GP, the GP will refer him to the hospital so he can have insoles made to put inside his shoes.

I had insoles for flat feet at the ame age. I used to take them out my shoes as soon as I was round te corner from home, they were so uncomfortable. Guess I still have flat feet but they don't cause me any problems.
