Extremely red cheeks and high temperature?

My DD who is almost 3 has woken up with fever and she has been quite lethargic. Temperature with my unreliable thermometer was 39.4 and she was hot all day.
Her face looks quite swollen and very red so I looked up symptoms and I found slapped cheek syndrome...She says she aches everywhere and winces and didn't touch any food (didn't want biscuit even and she's a big eater). Watched TV all day off and on dozing off and wouldn't drink much fluid either.

I wondered if there is flu going around or is this just bad cold or is it slapped cheek!!

Making myself worried more than I should be I'm sure...hate seeing her so ill...

It could be any one of those things, why don't you pop her to the GP's in the morning and just make sure she drinks plenty of fluids and give her some paracetamol to get rid of the aches and keep her temp down. I would say that anything over 39 needs to be checked out by a GP though.
