6 year old ds has started rolling his eyes back in a weird way - started after an op - just a phase?

oops - bit of a long title - sorry.

Ds2 had his tonsils out recently and had a problem recovering from the anaesthetic - he's been diagnosed with a rare genetic disorder that means he can't process certain anaesthetics - all sorted (in that we now know about it) and no long term effects.

But since the op. he's started to roll his eyes kind of upwards and back, so not like this but upwards into his head (if that makes sense??). It's really odd to watch and I don't think he knows he's doing it, 'cos when I've asked him he tries to do it but can't...

So, am I being a paranoid android worrying about whether this has happen because of the op. or is this one of those 5/6 year old child phases (like when ds1 developed a stammer for a couple of months at the same age and then it disappeared).

Sigh. If anyone has children around the same age who do the same thing can you let me know, otherwise I'll be bugging our GP..!

Thanks

For peace of mind I'd probably go to the doctor. I really doubt it is anything serious or related to his anaesthetics, but just to be on the safe side.
DD had her grommets put in just before christmas, she was as sick as a dog for two days afterwards. Once she recovered, she realised she could get mucho attention from complaining of nausea. This passed once we realised what she was up to.

Thanks! I'm going to keep an eye on it (ha ha) over the next few days and if it doesn't stop will probably take him.

I have a 6 year old dd1 who does the same, she's done it since she was 4, its horrible and it makes me feel ill, she does do it less than she did a year ago. Hopefully its just a stage.
