4 week old with cold. Am I doing the right thing?

Hi there

My 4 week old DD has picked up the cold which my 4yo DD had last week.

The baby has a runny/sneezy nose, bit of a cough and little pink eyes. She is still fedding normally and doing dirty/wet nappies aplenty. She can breathe reasonably well and is therefore sleeping ok. We used the saline nasal drops on her, but her nose is fairly runny anyway. She is sleeping a bit more than normal (although at 4 weeks we don't really have a 'normal' as yet!). Her temp is normal.

I haven't taken her to the GP or called anyone for advice, as I'm pretty confident that she's ok, but I sort of feel that perhaps I should get her checked out, even though I know what they'll say!

I suppose what I want to know is if what I'm doing sounds ok? Obviously if anything changes I would get her checked out, but can someone ressure me?!

I'm such a witterer!

I think it all sounds fine.
Take her to the GP or A&E if she develops a temp or becomes listless. Otherwise I'd keep going as you are.
