Hope it's nothing to worry about and tried calling the chemist but they are now closed. DD2 has streaming hayfever. The Chemist gave her piriton (liquid) and said she could have it up to 6 times a day within 24 hours. I gave her a 2.5 ml dosze at about 10.40am and as she was still struggling I have just given her another 2.5 ml dose more than 2 hours later. I figured this would be an ok interval, but now I just checked the box and it says it should be every 4 - 6 hours! I am normally SOOOO careful with stuff like this, I gave her it because the chemist said she could have it 6 times. Do you think she'll be ok, or will she just maybe get quite drowsy and want to sleep? I'm panicking a little

Any advice welcome! Thanks.

How old is she?

Try not to worry. It is an antihistermene (not sure on spelling), not something like paracetamol.

FWIW my MIL gave my 4 year old 5 ml instead of 2.5ml the other day and he was fine.

I suggest you don't give her any more until at least 6 hours has passed since the second dose.

I wouldnt worry about it and od has fab says.

I meant to say, she is 2.7 - Thanks, I already feel better. Good advice about now leaving a long gap. I feel like such an idiot, cos, as I said, I am normally hyper careful on this stuff.

Thanks.
