Sore throat & sickness

Both my DDs have an illness just now that has fever, chills, sleepiness, extremely sore throat & vomitting as symptoms. Any idea what this coudl be?

sounds like flu tbh, calpol, rest and fluids.

Have you looked at their tonsils? White bits on the tonsils + fever + no cough could be tonsillitis?

I have been told by doctors that young children can vomit quite easily when they're ill. It's not necessarily a stomach bug but just a reaction to having a virus.

DS1 hardly ever vomits but DS2 is sick the moment he gets a temperature. He has ear infections every ten days at the moment so I spend a lot of time clearing up puke.

Sounds like Strep throat which I think is often diagnosed in uk under tonsillitis. Watch out for flushed cheeks which could indicate Scarlet fever
