Milk Withdrawal?

Just had a call from the nursery and ds who is just over 2 has come out in a small rash with white spots and tiny blisters, he hasn't got a temperature and is fine in himself. They asked if he had eaten anything new which he hasn't but we did start with a new bar of soap last night was all I could come up with. Then I (stupidly and belatedly) remembered that this week we stopped his evening bottle of milk which he has been fine about once I explained it to him. He has been a bit unsettled but hasn't asked for the milk.

Anyway, the lady at the nursery said that it was probably a reaction to not having the milk in such a large amount. Has anybody else had this? or should I be looking for another cause?

It has mostly gone now apparrantly.

he was drinking normal cow's milk btw and also I will now have to get him to drink more in the day.
