Ds had his 2nd set of jabs yesterday and has not had any milk since 1am and only had an ounce then he is just very sleepy and moaning he had a temp of 38.5 and seems cooler after calpol he's also had a few runny nappies.
Is it side effects from the injections or should I speak to Gp?

It could be a side effect, but I would not take any chances - sleepy, moaning, fever and not drinking in a 17 week old is not good

Please call as soon as possible

Speak to the GP - it may be a reaction to the jabs, but not feeding is a concern.

Spoke to receptionist and she's going to get someone to ring me back after surgery so prob about an hour.

Oh good, hope he feels better soon.

Not to scare you, but do look at this and this post for more info on fevers

As I said, it could just be after effects, but you really don't want to take any chances when they are so young, and GPs are always happy to check out little ones

Sleepy and moaning might be dehydrated. Personally I'd take him down to A&E if doc doesn't call back soon. My DD had this and it is scary how quickly they get poorly when they are that little.

Prob side-effect but yes, you should ring the doc with a baby that small.

Hope he's feeling better soon!

Doctor rang back and wanted to see him so off we went and he said he thinks Ds has got a tummy bug on top of side effects of his injections.
Ds has had 4oz of milk in bits and bobs today which gp said is enough to keep him hydrated.
He is also ringing up during surgery tonight to check how he is.

Poor little thing. Again, hope he picks up soon.
