Conjunctivitis in 8 week old

Hello!

My 8 week old DD has conjunctivitis in one eye. Yellow gunky discharge & redness around eye. I've been wiping it with cooled boiled water. Is there anything else that helps? Do I need to take her to the GP? How often should I be wiping her eye, I don't want to over do it and make it more sore.

Thanks!

Breastmilk is good for this. I would wipe a few times a day, from inside to out, one wipe per cotton ball.

Thank you Scorps.

Yep, breastmilk on a bit of cotton wool. Takes a while to clear up but it works.
